A report is generated based on the evaluation of the tariff heading in the exportable product / service matrix. The variables considered are the following:
- Intrinsic and production attributes:
- Do you have a competitive advantage in innovation?
- Do you have a competitive advantage in quality?
- Another type of competitive advantage?
- Can the product / service be produced on a large scale?
and. Is the product / service considered high quality? - Does the product / service comply with environmental or health standards at the international level?
- External attributes
- Can the product / service be provided in Spanish, English or another language?
- Does the product / service meet international standards?
- Does the product / service compete internationally?
- Does the product / service have quality certification? and. Is the product / service ready to be used abroad?
- e. Does the product / service have competitors in the foreigner?
- Intangible attributes
- Does the product / service have a technical sheet?
- Does the product or service have a post-sale or warranty service?
- Is the product / service patented?
- Is there a trademark registration? and. Does the product / service have a technical sheet?
- Does the product / service have a manual?
- Other aspects
- Does the company have the resources to market the product or service abroad?
- Does the company have trained personnel to meet product / service demand requests abroad?
- Does the company have an international image (website, catalogs or other tools) for the effective communication of the product / service abroad?
- Has the tariff heading been identified? and. Does the product / service have tariff preferences?
- Will the company be able to sustain at least a year the incursion of the product in the foreign market despite not having sales?
Note: Each factor is valued from 1 to 3. The rating scale is as follows:
- 1 If you do not have
- 2 You have it but it does not apply
- 3 You have and apply
Results:
- 1-33 The company must initiate immediate adjustments to the product / service or analyze another
- 34-66 It is a product / service that can become competitive but adjustments must be made to achieve it
- 67-99 The product / service is competitive and meets the requirements for the international market
